I highly recommend the services of Chris Aycock and The Aycock Group. Chris outstandingly facilitated a two-day strategic planning board retreat for PRIA (Property Records Industry Association). PRIA is a national association and Mr. Aycock successfully ensured that all voices were heard, and goals and measurable objectives were established. "The Aycock Group assisted our organization with the development of a three year strategic plan. Chris approached the task with energy, thoughtfulness, and a genuine commitment to collaboration. He worked with me to tailor a process that would meet our budgetary constraints as well as our organizational needs. He was extremely effective at whittling down global organizational needs into manageable and measurable objectives with clear action steps necessary for success.

Chris' facilitation style is amiable and reassuring. Whether he was working with the Board of Directors, management team, or individual departments, he was keenly effective at balancing individual contributions with group dynamics. I would highly recommend The Aycock Group."

"The City of Havelock is a military oriented community with an estimated population of 22,000.Its primary economy can be affected by federal Department of Defense related budget decisions made in Washington DC. With uncertainty on what's going to happen with the federal budget in the upcoming 2013 fiscal year, the city engaged Chris and The Aycock Group to facilitate a community economic development planning process. In doing so, Chris Aycock of The Chris Aycock Group engaged business, education, nonprofit and government leaders to work together to develop strategies and solutions. His resource assistance and facilitation provided a process that included a Community Summit and Steering Committee meetings. It is from Chris' effort and results that we endorse the Aycock Group to towns and cities who are positioning themselves in this difficult economy"

Skinner Farlow Kirwan Architecture is a firm that specializes in public projects including educational design. When designing a new elementary school in Eastern North Carolina to replace an existing historical instititution, we wanted to engage the community in a public visioning session to solicite input from a variety of stakeholders. We invited alumni going back into the 1950s and earlier, community leaders, parents, staff, teachers, neighbors, and students.

We engaged Chris Aycock to help organize and run the public meeting. The meeting was a great success with lots of public participation and much useful feedback that will be helpful in designing the new facility. Chris managed the meeting very professionally and kept the public interested and engaged in the discussion. Clearly Chris loves to engage with the public in these sorts of forums and to meet new people and solicit their input. This was invaluable to our firm on this project and we would definitely engage Chris again when we need this sort of public involvement.

I highly recommend Chris Aycock with The Aycock Group to help develop, facilitate and monitor your organization's Strategic Plan. Working with Chris has been pleasant, productive and most importantly, purposeful. Eight years ago our Association created a strategic plan; and since that time 'the Plan' had become a 20-page dissertation of past action steps everyone dodged like the plague. One of the primary goals this time was to create a concise, focused document which would serve as the foundation for our Association's planned growth.

Chris was hired for his ability to cut to the core competencies and take elements from each stakeholder group - past presidents, committee chairs, board of directors and staff - and weave them together. Through his systemized model, he helped us create a road map that is attainable and stretches us to go from Good to Great. We are pleased to have a 24-month plan that has buy-in from all stakeholders.

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Mr. Chris Aycock of the Aycock Group in the development of a strategic plan for the North Carolina Retired Governmental Employees' Association. We were positively impressed by Mr. Aycock's professionalism and his skills in his activities with our Strategic Planning Committee and our Board of Directors.

Mr. Aycock led a two-day strategic planning session with the Board and the staff of the Association. He used facilitation methods that allowed the discussion to flow freely while also ensuring that all voices were heard and that goals and measurable objectives were established. He gathered useful information from the group that later was incorporated into a strategic plan. I recommend the services of Chris Aycock and The Aycock Group to your association, nonprofit organization, or governmental agency. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

The Aycock Group assisted the association by facilitating a three-year strategic plan that evolved from a grassroots planning effort that provided an opportunity for all 492 district supervisors to engage in the process by offering ideas and other input gained through experience in the Districts. Technical staff and a number of very important external partners also provided valuable input. Surveys, eight regional meetings and a board level leadership retreat were some of the methods used. The association created a vision statement and the mission statement below as well as goals and objectives to accomplish this mission. The association worked collaboratively to create a meaningful plan that will move the Association forward today, and in the years to come.

Mission: The purpose of the NC Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts is to connect, coordinate and build the capacity of soil and water conservation districts to help all citizens protect and conserve natural resources.

The Aycock Group worked with me in my effort to start a nonprofit that will serve people with deaf-blindness in Guatemala. I had no idea how to start, but Chris Aycock coached me on how to form a group of people to help and how to build a team. He led two very successful retreats to help the new team develop a strategic plan with mission statement, goals and measurable objectives. Because of that strong foundation, we have had productive meetings and a lot of progress towards our goals since the retreats. I am very grateful for The Aycock Group helping me get started on accomplishing my dream, and will definitely hire Chris again as needed. I recommend The Aycock Group to people wanting to start nonprofits.

After becoming President-Elect of the Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC), I had the pleasure of seeing Chris in action as he facilitated a strategic planning session for the Board. Chris, known for his sense of humor and general affability, literally was able to "herd the cats" during a one-day session. At the conclusion of the session, we all agreed that Chris had done a masterful job of patiently, persistently and light heartedly steering us through a detailed planning exercise. We managed to create a new vision, mission, and several goals for the coming year. I am looking forward to working with Chris in the future.

Healthiest Capital County

"I worked with Chris Aycock of the Aycock Group in a public health collaborative impact project: The Wake Healthiest Capital County Initiative. This initiative will affect over one million people and has engaged leaders across Wake County. This project was led by Wake County Health and Human Services and John Rex Endowment and engaged multiple stakeholders including: Wake County elected officials, multiple nonprofits, education leaders and regional hospitals. Chris, the facilitator for the Planning Team, worked well with the leadership team and provided great value in his ability to help us scope the project and develop effective meetings. He facilitated meetings with multiple stakeholders that led to clear outcomes while also engaging participants. Mr. Aycock created analysis documents, throughout the process, that helped to clarify my own thinking and those of others.

Most importantly, The Wake Healthiest Capital County ended with agreed focus areas, agreed structure, and excitement. I recommend Chris Aycock and The Aycock Group to work on collaborative impact projects and to individual nonprofits who are seeking organizational assessments, capacity building, evaluation, strategic planning or similar services."
